In the blink of an eye

Yet He has not left Himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; He provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.” Acts 14:17 NIV

Hot, sticky, sweaty days full of sunshine, blue skies, and white fluffy clouds have given way to cooler mornings, darker evenings, and leaves starting to fall. Where did summer go? It seems like in the blink of an eye the dog days of summer have left us and Fall is on the horizon. I love September. It is an amazing month. Not just because it's my birthday month... although that might have a little to do with it.

September brings about all things fall. I mean pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkins, cider, sweaters, boots, did I mention boots. I mean what's a crisp fall morning like without jeans, a sweater, and a pair of boots. I love my boots, my sweaters, sweatshirts, and jeans. I love drives on the Blue Ridge Mountains and the changing of the leaves. I love apple picking and sitting on the porch taking in the smells of the changing season and I love bonfires and making smores. I love the memories that are made during that season.

God blessed us tremendously when He gave us the four seasons. It's such a blessing to experience nature this way. A new season, a fresh start, what will you accomplish this Fall? What memories will you make? What new habits will you create and what dead weight will you prune off? Welcome Fall.
